No emergency calling (911/988): Boontel does not support emergency calling. Use the native Phone app (carrier) for emergencies.
Not a phone replacement: Boontel does not provide SMS and does not offer unrestricted “dial-any-number” calling.

- Do we need a second number? No — Boontel works with the senior’s existing number via call forwarding.
- Does it require internet? In‑app calls and caregiver joining require Wi‑Fi or mobile data.
- How do I subscribe? Subscriptions are managed in the Boontel mobile app.
- What permissions are needed? Microphone and Notifications are recommended for calling.
- Can Boontel guarantee scam detection? No — it’s risk reduction, not a guarantee.
